On December 11, Indian national Kamalpreet Singh was arrested after allegedly causing a fatal truck accident in King County, Washington. In slowing traffic, Singh did not hit the brakes or take any evasive action in his semi-truck, which caused him to crash into the back of the car ahead of him, crushing it between two semi-trucks. The driver, Robert B. Pearson, was pronounced dead at the scene. Further investigation revealed that Singh had falsified his electronic logbook by listing a co-driver and had altered data before the crash occurred. ICE reports that he entered the U.S. illegally through Arizona in 2023 and was released by the Biden administration. Washington State again refused ICE's detainer and Kamalpreet Singh was released on bail on December 14.

a Border Patrol camera operator observed a group of subjects walking north in the Santa Cruz River area, east of Nogales, Arizona. Camera operators then watched as a Chevrolet Silverado pulled into the same area and the subjects got into the truck. Border Patrol Agents (BPAs) nearby initiated a traffic stop to conduct an immigration inspection. In the truck, BPAs found 16 subjects wearing camouflage clothing who were sweating and breathing heavily. The subjects were determined to be citizens of Mexico, unlawfully present in the United States. The driver, the only individual not wearing camouflage clothing, was identified as Pedro Martinez-Ruiz, a Mexican citizen who was also in the United States illegally.

On November 24, the Deschutes County Sheriff's Office arrested Indian national Rajinder Kumar following a deadly truck crash near Bend, Oregon. Rajinder Kumar jack-knifed, or lost control of, his trailer and blocked both lanes of the highway. This resulted in the death of William Carter and Jennifer Lower, who were unable to avoid the trailer and collided with it. When Kumar was arrested, he needed a Hindi interpreter. ICE reports that Rajinder Kumar entered the United States illegally in November 2022 in Arizona and was released into the country by the Biden administration. Shortly after, he made his way to California where he received federal work authorization and was then issued a commercial driver's license in 2023.
